Initial ideas
This will involve my group working together to come up with several ideas then develop one.
Equipment we will use is a computer, pen and paper.

Script
The script will involve one person developing the final idea into stage directions dialog and sound effects.
Equipment needed will be a computer with internet to access adobe story a script writing software.

First Treatment
Our first treatment will be a group task of us first making the slides titled with form, content and style to name a few along with some pre production material.
Equipment needed is a computer with Google drive so everyone in my group can edit the treatment to add extra information.

Improved Treatment

Once we have pitched our first idea we will then take our feedback given and improve our treatment by looking at the feedback given too us.
Equipment we will need is a computer to edit our treatment and the hard copies of our feedback.

Storyboard

For the storyboard we will work as a group to complete this task. The reason for this is because it has to be a detailed storyboard. Therefor we will get the best drawer in our group to do the drawings then someone write the stage directions and another the sound and also the shot types.
Equipment needed will be a storyboard template sheet, pensile and colours.

Recce Sheets

With the Reece sheets we located spots where we are going to film and fill in the additional information as well as taking pictures of the location.
Equipment needed will be a camera and tripod as we need to take pictures of the location.

Risk Assessments

The risk assessments can be a shared group work as that means we can get more done in a limited amount of time. Completing the risk assessments wont be hard as if we think of all risks at the locations we have scouted then we know the risks.
Equipment we will use is a computer as we can mage or get a template for Risk assessments.

Model Release Forms

This involves getting the actors to sign a form so we can use them in our edit.
Equiptment we will need is pen and a contract for the models/ actors to be able to sign the form.

Legal & Ethical issues

This will be where we write about any issues with our music video like any violence or swearing.
Equipment we will need is a computer to write about the legal and ethical issues

Certification from Artist

This is a individual task where one member in our group will contact the artist who’s song we made a music video about and ask for permission from them.
Equipment we will need is a computer or phone to contact the artist.

Test shoot

This will involve my whole group going out and filming our most ambitious scenes to see if they work.
Equipment we will need is a camera, tripod and a light.

Location Release Forms Permission

This will involve us getting the location release forms signed off to be able to film at the location.
Equipment we will need is the location release form and a pen for the signature.

Permission Form Song Owner

This is where we receive an email from the artist responding to us saying that we are ok to use his/ hers song.

Book Equipment

This will involve us booking out the equipment needed for filming
Equipment camera, tripod and lights.

Filming

This will undergo us filming all our scenes with our actors and crew in all locations capturing loads of shots for our music video.
Equipment needed will be a camera, tripod and lights as well as the locations needed to film.

Editing

This involves our whole group individually finishing off our editing by putting the clips together in premier.
The equipment we will use is a computer with adobe premier.
Final Production

This is the date we will finish our production.

Budget;

The budget for our music video is £20. The reason for this is because we are media student in full time education there for we don’t have a lot of time on our hands to make money.  If we do not manage to get £20 as our budget then it isn’t the end of the world. The reason for this is because we are media student we can work around what we need and substitute things.

Legal & Ethical Issues;

LEGAL

Issue

Solved or justified?

Drug Use

We want to have drug use in our music video; the drugs used will just be antidepressants and antipsychotics. Since these aren’t illegal drugs they shouldn’t be a problem will the law. This does inflict on ethical issues, which will be discussed below.

Copyright

Using the music in our video will inflict copyright, to solve this we found the contact details of the original artist which was the email address, we emailed them asking for permission and a few days later they replied allowing us to use it.

ETHICAL

Issue

Solved or justified?

Drug Use

The use of drugs like antidepressants will inflict on ethical issues because of the seriousness of the topic and that can offend people if we don’t take it serious enough so we have to be careful. Also overdosing on drugs is a serious issue because it can inflict suicide.

Mental Illness

The protagonist of our music video has schizophrenia and if we don’t take it serious enough people can get offended or think that this is what all schizophrenic people are like. So we need to be careful and possibly even research why schizophrenic people are like. We also would like to amplify the seriousness of mental illness; so raising awareness is a good thing.

Suicide

The climax of our music video is the protagonist committing suicide by means of overdosing on antidepressants and since this a very real topic we must take it very seriously because if we don’t people will be offended by it and that is the last thing we want our music video to do. We will also be able to raise awareness of suicide by showing how serious of an issue it is.

Launch date;

The reason the music video is being released in November is because in that month it is movember. This music video is about mental illness, this is to raise awareness about showing that no one is alone however dark life is.
